New HAM Information Center

Learning to be a HAM and getting licensed is easier today than ever before. This is in part due to the changes in licensing by the FCC, the introduction of  tools such as the Personnel Computer and the availability of  Home Pages such as this one.

The Carroll County Amateur Radio Club does not intend to duplicate the vast resources available on the Internet that are available to the newcomer, but will use this page to welcome you to the world of HAM Radio and invite you to come to a CCARC Meeting. It is by belonging to a club such as the Carroll County Amateur Radio Club that makes it easier for one to get their foot in the proverbial door. The CCARC can provide you with the information you need to get started and introduce you to an ELMER (a licensed HAM who is willing to help an aspiring HAM).
