LIONFISH INFORMATION LINKS

Since 2000 the Lionfish (Pterois volitans and Pterois miles) which are species native to the IndoPacific region, have become a very invasive species in North American and Caribbean waters.  Primarily observed by SCUBA divers in coral, rocky and artificial reefs along the southeast coast of the U.S., from Florida to North Carolina and also throughout the Bahamas, I have personally seen them in the Turks & Caicos Islands.  See the links below for more information on this troublesome invader.
