In the academic year 1963-1964, I was a freshman candidate for the priesthood at the Carmelite Junior Seminary in Hamilton, Massachusetts. During that year, which shaped my life powerfully, I met wonderful people. Also during that year, vocation director Father Flavian put together a new vocation booklet. I was given a copy of that booklet when it was printed, and I have cherished it since then -- and not only because I posed for a couple of photos for it. In addition to the booklet, I kept a few other items from Hamilton, such as holy cards and the "requirements" brochure new students received.
At present (02/05), this Carmel site contains two galleries: (1) the vocation booklet and (2) a gallery of miscellaneous Hamilton items (which includes a current photo of Fr. Fergus, Hamilton rector in 1963-1964). In addition, there is a freshman class photo from 1963. Click on the links below to view the materials.
