A NOTE FROM PENDLE HILL ONLINE

The Pendle Hill On the Road program (PHOR) is a service for meetings that are at such a distance that members cannot easily participate in Pendle Hill on-campus weekend events. Many meetings have found them valuable and enriching.

For example, the Paullina, Iowa Meeting hosted a session on "Strengthening the Life of Our Meeting." Multnomah Meeting in Portland, Oregon, is planning one on "The Inward Teacher." Live Oak Meeting in Houston, Texas offered a session on "Finding Simplicity in our Complex Lives."

A PHOR weekend provides your meeting with a chance to grow in understanding as a community as you discuss a topic of mutual interest or work through, in a relaxed and prayerful manner, a meeting difficulty or concern. We will work with you to develop a topic that will best suit your meeting's needs. Nashville Meeting in Tennessee focussed on "Strengthening Meeting Relationships." Other PHOR gatherings have dealt with ""Centering Prayer," "Quaker Spiritual Formation" and "Bible Study."

Pendle Hill provides the leadership--your meeting provides the space to meet and the participants. The cost per person is reasonable.
