Text Box: You Can Be A Worship Assistant You can enhance your worship experience by serving as a Worship Assistant. The following opportunities to participate are available: Greeters – arrive twenty minutes before the service and greet members of the congregation, handing out bulletins. Kindergarten and older. Ushers – collect the offering, carry the offering and Communion elements to the altar. First grade and older (young children with parents) Acolytes – new acolytes will be paired with someone experienced for training. Fifth grade and older for Sundays; fourth grade and older for Saturdays. Lectors – read the lessons. Fifth grade and older. Communion Assistants – Two assistants pour wine or hand out grape juice; the third person hold the flagon (wine pitcher). On Saturdays, the lector also serves as the communion assistant. The mode of communion is intinction at Saturday services. Confirmed youth and adults. Bell ringers – It is a tradition at Immanuel to ring the bell 16 times, five minutes before the service begins. The Head Usher will assist with and monitor this duty. Any age - children with an adult. If you would like more information please see Pastor Matt.
