Rubik's Cube Solution: "Solving Rubik's Cube for speed"

Dale Chihuly: "For Chihuly, drawing has become very much a part of the glassblowing process. He often draws in the hotshop, a process that joins his drawing activity to the communal activity of the blow in progress. The energy from making drawings, as much as the specific images, flows into the glassmaking process and, in equal measure, flows from it back to the drawings -- a circular process. As he says, 'I want to emphasize how important the drawings came to be in determining what I wanted to make. I have the luxury of not having to blow glass, so while the team is working, I can walk over to the drawing board and begin to draw. Being able to move back and forth between the pad and the drawing table is what really allowed the series to move so quickly. . . . Drawing is a fluid process, as glassblowing is a fluid process,'[6] and elsewhere, 'If I didn't draw, I don't think the work would've progressed at the rate or in the direction that the work has gone.'[7]"

PHP creator Rasmus Lerdof -- Builder AU Web Development Scripting:
"You said during your Introduction to PHP talk at Linux.conf.au that you hated programming. What do you prefer doing?"
"I like solving problems, I like building something that solves a real problem and actually helps people or affects people. To do that you normally have to program unfortunately so I end up doing that. I mean I don’t hate the industry of programming, I just hate the actual sitting down and doing the programming, it’s very boring and very tedious. The end result is cool and that is what I like doing. I enjoy just normal technical geeky things. Other than that there's my new baby."
