Ann Lesch learned her craft by copying the masters paintings. Taking inspiration from the great painters of all time. She works in a manner which derives its technical and stylistic inspiration from these Masters.

Concerned with permanence and luminescence, she follows traditional concepts in grinding her paints from dry pigments, hand priming her marine grade mahogany plywood, and using glazes to gain an illuminated quality. In still life painting, the capturing of light and atmosphere is her main concern. She strives to do this through careful observation and attention to detail. Ann paints nature in all its forms, choosing to emphasize those aspects which create public awareness of the environment. Toward this end, her flower paintings exhibit the sensitivity that urges the viewer to appreciate nature, and actively participate in its protection and preservation.
