Personal:A writer of music and published author of short stories, he was raised in Missouri then Virginia. After graduating Virginia Commonwealth University, he composed and played music professionally. In addition, a career in sales has allowed him through the doors of many lives. "These travels have given me an incredible inventory of characters," he admits. His works appear in Fodderwing, The Richmond Music Journal, New Millenium, The Door, Shamrocker, The Sonic and an anthology; Great Writers, Great Stories, subtitled Great Writers of Virginia, Maryland and D.C. Writing Philosophy:"My mission in writing is to magnify honorable and ridiculous acts," he states. "I'm impressed with the small triumphs we make in chaotic situations." Music:"I've always admired the fun part of music, but respect those who can elevate it above entertainment and make it something meaningful. So I'm into everything from Billy Bragg, the Ramones and Graham Parker to Jimmy Cliff, Sly Stone and Kate Bush." Currently working on instrumental New Age CD. |
