Don't Believe All That You HearMyth: Alcohol gives you energy. Truth: No Way: Alcohol is a Major Depressant! The effects on the human body when you drink it, are as follows: slowed thinking, talking, your ability to move around and it will stop your heart. if you drink enough you will not be able to perform or enjoy that special time with your girl friend/wife. Myth: Everybody reacts the same to alcohol. Truth: Wrong: There are more Factors than I would like to count that effect reactions to alcohol:- time of day, body weight, how you feel mentally, body chemistry, your expectations- and on and on and on and on. Myth: it won't/can't hurt or damage me permanently, heck it's only beer. Truth: Alcohol no matter what form can do major damage to your digestive system, it weakens your heart muscle, kills liver & brain cells, hurts your stomach, and other critical organs. It does take away years from your life. Myth: Drugs are a bigger problem than alcohol. Truth: Alcohol and tobacco kill more than 50 times the number of people killed by cocaine, heroin, and every other illegal drug combined. It is a drug. that's why 10 million or more Americans are addicted to Alcohol. Are you? Myth: When I'm drinking I'm cool. Truth: HA HA! Wrong!!! When you start drinking you stop thinking, the Alcohol starts doing your thinking for you. You may start acting like an ass with everybody laughing at you but not with you. Do you want to be the joke of the evening? Also when the Alcohol is doing the thinking for you, bad decisions are made that could kill you now or maybe if your really lucky you can condemn yourself to a slow painful death with aids or some other STD. Myth: Switching between beer, wine and liquor will make you more drunk than sticking to one type of alcohol. Truth: Not likely man! your blood alcohol concentration, otherwise known as your BAC-- the percent of alcohol in your blood-- is what determines how drunk you are. Not the type of alcohol you drink. alcohol is alcohol! all that mixing them does is make you more sick quicker. For more information please visit these links:
